Celebrate Basel Saad: 25 Year Anniversary

To my valued clients:

It’s hard to believe, but this month marks 25 years with BMW of North Haven. In reflecting on this significant career milestone, I feel immense gratitude towards everyone who has been a part of my journey and want to extend a heartfelt thank you for supporting me all these years.

I started with BMW of North Haven, known at the time as Mauro Motors, in December of 1998, just before my 24th birthday. I was a kid at the time, so my attraction to the brand largely stemmed from its sporty, sophisticated look and its exclusivity – only true car enthusiasts were willing to forgo all-wheel drive for the thrill of a car built for the German Autobahn.

BMW has evolved significantly over the years, and so too has my appreciation for the brand. I love the engineering and technology, and the fact that BMW listens to the consumer (it took a while for cupholders to be prioritized over ashtrays, but they eventually came around!). I am also encouraged by BMW’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, which helps me feel confident standing behind the brand.

There are a few aspects of my career, however, that have remained consistent throughout. First and foremost, it is my incredible clients who keep me motivated and who make my work so fulfilling. In an ever-changing business landscape, your loyalty to the brand has been unwavering. I’m now starting to work with second generation buyers, some of whom I first met at the dealership when they were in diapers, which brings me such joy (and makes me feel old!).

A close second is the dynamic leadership of the Mauro family. It goes without saying, but Mike Mauro’s vision and dedication laid the foundation for a flourishing business with one of the best reputations in the industry. In the three years since Mike handed over the reins to his son, Jake, it has been inspiring to see Jake’s commitment not only to maintaining the legacy his father built, but also to making bold, strategic decisions that will bring the business to the next level, such as the acquisition of BMW of Bridgeport.

Looking ahead, I am excited about the possibilities that the future holds for the brand, the dealership, and of course, my clients. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me with your business over the past 25 years, and here’s to the exciting future that lies ahead.
