Meet Rayqwain Wallace

New Haven native Rayqwain Wallace joined the auto industry pretty much as soon as he could have a job. Ray started on the service side, learning the industry from the ground up at tire and lube shops before moving on to dealership work. He gained experience and skills as a technician before moving on to a sales role, learning both sides of the business.

“I wasn’t looking to move into sales at first,” Ray tells us. “But I had a friend who was on that side and told me I was right for it. I got some experience first and met Michelle Gioia [our new Sales Manager at BMW of North Haven] before she came here. She invited me to check it out and I immediately felt comfortable with Mauro Motors and trusted Michelle to guide me the right way.”

Rayqwain is a father of two who spends most of his personal time with his kids and enjoys the outdoors, basketball, tennis, and hiking. Asked about lessons he’s learned along the way, he tells us it’s about working with different people and helping fulfill their needs without any pressure.

“You want everyone to have a good experience. You want them to feel good about it and want to come back.” We’re happy to have Ray along for the ride.
